The itineraries are designed to be almost entirely on paved roads, however you can not experience the natural side of Costa Rica without traveling occasionally on well surfaced but unpaved roads. Some of the approaches to our lodges are not paved however we stress that any experienced road rider can easily handle the unpaved portions.
